PartsTrader, the leader in creating efficient and transparent markets for the auto collision repair industry, announced today that it surpassed $100MM in parts order volume in October, the first month it has exceeded that threshold.
Additionally, the company processed over 240,000 orders between repairers and suppliers in 47 states during the month, representing more than 10% of all the collision parts sold in the country over that time period.
"We have spent a great deal of time listening to our users relative to what features they are looking for in an e-procurement system, and our ability to deliver many of them has been a big contributor to our growth," said Dale Sailer, PartsTrader's Vice President of Business Development.
As of the end of October, over one-third of PartsTrader's repair shop users were using PartsTrader to procure parts on self-pay repairs or to support jobs related to multiple insurance carriers, or both. Such discretionary usage of PartsTrader has grown at a 21% month over month rate for the last eleven months.
"Repairers are increasingly finding value in receiving timely, accurate quotes from all channels of the supply chain to make decisions that are in the best interests of their business," added Sailer. "That said, there is still work to be done in determining the ideal blend of human judgment and technology enablement within the procurement process to create the 'perfect' tool for our industry."
PartsTrader now has over 8000 active repairer accounts and over 8000 active supplier accounts on the system.
