Industry and Customer Reporting Capabilities Expanding

PartsTrader is significantly expanding its industry and customer reporting capabilities.  Spearheading this effort for the organization will be industry analyst Michael T. Anderson, the company’s new Director of Decision Sciences.

Anderson is charged with expanding the company’s business analytics and reporting capabilities.  With over $1.7 billion of collision parts ordered through the PartsTrader application since the program launched, Anderson will be developing PartsTrader’s next generation of management reporting that provides actionable insights for each PartsTrader customer and the industry at large.

18 Students Traveling to SkillsUSA Competition

The Collision Repair Education Fund has named 18 students as grant recipients from the Troy Holm Memorial Fund for 2015.  These students are state gold medalists from 14 different states.  Later this month, they will be traveling to Louisville, KY to compete in the Collision Repair Technology and Automotive Refinishing Technology national competition at SkillsUSA.

Students competing in the competition are required to perform jobs and skills based on the task list outlined by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence and the National Automotive Technicians Foundation.  Students are judged on skill levels in a practical exam, a written exam and an interview with the judges.

The Troy Holm Memorial Fund is facilitated by the Collision Repair Education Fund and was created in memory of collision industry member and PartsTrader employee Troy Holm who passed away in March 2013.  PartsTrader established the fund to assist students in attending the national event through travel grants and other forms of assistance.  In response to a record number of fund applicants this year, PartsTrader doubled its donation for 2015 to ensure that the "best of the best" from around the country are able to participate at the national contest.

For Dealers - Limited Space Available for DMI Platform Pilot Program

Your dealership could be one of the first businesses to use the Dealer Management System integration with the PartsTrader platform.  The integration will help OEM automobile dealers respond more efficiently to quote requests from collision repair shops.

When responding to a quote request, PartsTrader will automatically present inventory information and pricing from your own DMS.  You'll no longer have to access multiple systems to quote accurately.  Prices are updated automatically based upon your settings and you'll gain a better understanding of profitability on a part by part basis.

During the pilot program, you’ll be providing valuable feedback directly to our product integration team, helping to ensure the workflow meets your needs for accessing your inventory and providing quotes easily and efficiently.
Best of all, there is no cost to you – PartsTrader is picking up the initial costs to integrate your shop inventory through the DMS platform.  And once the pilot program is over, you’ll have a state of the art inventory management system available at your fingertips, helping you gain even more efficiencies when you use PartsTrader.
